Harmony Engineering provided whole building energy modelling services from schematic design to final design. Our team conducted preliminary energy modelling to identify key energy efficiency measures, helping the design exceed the energy targets set by the BC Building Code. The childcare centre aimed for over 50% energy savings compared to Step 1 of the BC Energy Step Code. Additionally, with no natural gas usage, the building achieved a significantly reduced greenhouse gas intensity (GHGI), resulting in a more sustainable and energy-efficient design.
